Morgan Carr was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Morgan attended Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio from 1993-1997 majoring in equine science. While at Lake Erie College, Morgan rode on the Lake Erie College IHSA Team, Team de Ville Jumper Team and received such honors as IHSA Zone Champion, Regional Reserve Champion and finished 3rd at the IHSA National Championships in Colorado.
Post college career
Morganís post college career found him in New Mexico where he began breaking and training Holsteiners. Later, Morgan exclusively trained two private students in Austin, Texas. Both private students qualified for the 1998 AHSA Pony Finals. In 1999 Morgan relocated to Seattle and was assistant trainer at a large sales barn.
Encanto Valley Farm
Encanto Valley Farm was started in June 2001. In 2011, Morgan became a USHJA certified trainer. Morgan has had numerous personal success in both the hunter and jumper rings from Baby Green Hunters through Grand Prix, as well as coaching success from the Short/Long Stirrup Hunters through Jr/AO and Grand Prix.
